Perempuan Cenderung Lebih Egois

 Survei menunjukkan perempuan lebih egois dibandingkan laki-laki. Perempuan juga cenderung bicara buruk mengenai temannya kepada orang lain. Riset mengenai perilaku dan sikap egois ini melibatkan 2.000 perempuan dan laki-laki.

Riset digelar oleh organisasi kerelawanan di Inggris untuk memperingati Hari Kerelawanan.

Tujuh dari sepuluh responden mengakui mereka egois. Bahkan 50 persen responden mengaku konsisten menjalankan dua atau lebih aktivitas yang individualistis setiap harinya. Sebenarnya secara umum, perempuan dan laki-laki sama-sama egois. Namun, riset ini menunjukkan data yang lebih spesifik bahwa ternyata perempuan jauh lebih egois.

Fakta ini ditemui dalam berbagai perilaku harian. Perempuan cenderung tak menunjukkan kepeduliannya. Simpati perempuan terhadap orang lain rendah. Sekitar 43,2 persen perempuan cenderung tak bersimpati terhadap orang lain.

Sementara hanya 38,6 persen pria yang tak bersimpati dengan orang lain. Perempuan cenderung mengurungkan niatnya membukakan pintu untuk orang lain ketimbang pria. Hanya 19,3 persen pria yang tak membukakan pintu saat orang lain membutuhkan.

Sementara 20,2 persen perempuan cenderung tak peduli membukakan pintu. Hanya 27,3 persen pria yang enggan menolong perempuan paruh baya untuk membawa barang belanjaannya. Sementara itu, ada 32,1 persen perempuan tak tergerak menolong perempuan paruh baya tersebut.

Dalam hubungan berpasangan, perempuan juga cenderung egois. Riset ini menunjukkan bahwa 27,1 persen perempuan memilih DVD yang disukainya, tanpa memikirkan pasangannya suka atau tidak. Sementara itu, hanya 26,2 persen laki-laki yang melakukan hal serupa. Artinya, lebih banyak laki-laki yang mempertimbangkan perasaan atau pendapat pasangannya dalam memilih suatu barang.

Lebih dari setengah responden perempuan mengaku memasak makan malam yang diinginkannya. Sementara itu, hanya 45,9 persen laki-laki yang memasak makan malam sesuai keinginannya. Selebihnya, laki-laki memilih masakan makan malam dengan mempertimbangkan orang lain.

Soal makanan favorit, seperti cokelat, perempuan juga lebih egois. Perempuan mau berbagi cokelat, tetapi mengambil porsi lebih besar. Sebanyak 37,9 persen perempuan mengambil potongan cokelat lebih besar saat berbagi dengan orang lain. Sementara itu, hanya 30,1 persen pria yang melakukan hal serupa.

Bahkan dalam keluarga, perempuan juga cenderung sibuk dengan dirinya. Ada 50,1 persen perempuan yang lupa dengan hari ulang tahun anggota keluarganya, sedangkan lebih dari 50 persen laki-laki mengingat hari ulang tahun anggota keluarga mereka. Fakta lainnya, 42,6 persen perempuan cenderung tak menghubungi keluarga, sedangkan hanya 35,5 persen laki-laki yang tak berkomunikasi dengan keluarganya.

Kenali Beda Penyakit Gondok dan Gondongan

Penyakit gondok atau juga disebut goiter disebabkan gangguan hormon tiroid dan biasanya memicu pembengkakan di leher. Sementara itu, gondongan dipicu oleh virus dan menyebabkan pembengkakan dan nyeri pada kelenjar air ludah (parotis).

Gangguan tiroid paling sering diderita oleh kaum wanita. Berat-ringannya penyakit ini ditentukan oleh ukuran pembesaran kelenjar tiroid dan gangguan produksi hormonnya.

"Pembesaran kelenjar tiroid di leher bisa disebabkan oleh adanya tumor jinak akibat gangguan pada hormon tiroid. Benjolan ini juga bisa menjadi kanker dan harus diangkat," kata dr Suharko Soebardi, SpPD, dalam acara konferensi pers Jakarta Endokrin Meeting dan Jakarta Diabetes Meeting, Rabu (8/6/2011) di Jakarta.

Dalam buku Family Health Book Mayo Clinic disebutkan, goiter atau gondok adalah istilah umum untuk kelenjar tiroid yang membesar. Pembesaran ini mungkin hanya berupa benjolan setempat atau pembengkakan kedua lobus kelenjar tiroid. Penyebab pembengkakan ini bisa sangat beragam, mulai dari gangguan autoimun hingga penyebab yang paling umum, yakni kekurangan zat yodium.

Sementara itu, penyakit parotitis epidemika, atau oleh awam biasa disebut gondongan, dipicu oleh infeksi virus. Penyakit ini menular dan bisa diderita oleh pasien dari berbagai kelompok umur. Gejala gondongan hampir mirip dengan gejala penyakit flu (flu like syndrome) seperti demam, nyeri otot, atau pusing.

"Penularannya sama dengan penyakit mata, bisa lewat udara atau kontak langsung dengan pasien," kata dr Suharko yang menjadi ketua pelaksana Jakarta Endokrin Meeting ini.

Orang yang terkena sudah dapat menularkannya kepada orang lain sehari sebelum gejalanya muncul, bahkan menjadi sangat menular 3 hari berikutnya dan daya tular akan menurun sejalan dengan meredanya pembengkakan.

Karena disebabkan oleh virus, gondongan bisa sembuh sendiri. Penyakit ini jarang sekali berlangsung lebih dari 2 minggu. "Yang perlu dilakukan adalah meningkatkan daya tahan tubuh karena jika sistem imun lemah, maka tubuh mudah ditumpangi infeksi lain, termasuk kuman," papar dr Suharko.

Menurut literatur, sekitar seperempat remaja pria belasan tahun dan pria dewasa yang pernah terserang gondongan mengalami peradangan pada testisnya (orkitis). Dokter dapat mendiagnosis gondongan apabila menemukan adanya virus gondongan di air liur atau menemukan adanya peningkatan produksi antibodi gondongan dalam darah. Akan tetapi, pemeriksaan seperti ini jarang sekali diperlukan.

Akhirnya, Film Asing Bakal Tayang Lagi

JAKARTA- Boikot film impor mungkin bakal berakhir. Pasalnya pekan depan pemerintah berniat mengeluarkan surat keputusan terkait masalah pajak film asing.

Hal tersebut di sampaikan oleh Menteri Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata, Jero Wacik. Menurutnya, film impor akan diperbolehkan masuk kembali ke bioskop Indonesia.

"Film asing sudah selesai urusannya pajak filmnya. Minggu depan barangkali sudah keluar SK Menkeu. Kita akan umumkan. Setelah itu kita akan umumkan," kata Jero usai menghadiri acara Presidential Lecture yang diselenggarakan Indonesian Young Leaders di Hotel Ritz Calton,Jakarta, Kamis (9/6/2011).

Dengan kehadiran film-film asing, Jero berharap ikut memajukan kualitas film-film Indonesia. Dia juga yakin keputusan yang diambil pemerintah itu akan disambut baik penikmat film Indonesia.

"Setelah itu, film asing akan terus mengalir dan melengkapi film indonesia dan penonton akan senang melihat film indonesia makin baik dan film asing masuk kembali. Rencananya minggu depan SK-nya sudah keluar," janjinya.

Agar peristiwa pemblokiran film impor tidak terulang kembali, Jero juga berjanji akan memberi kepastian pajak film impor.

"Perpajakannya dibikin pasti. Nanti akan ada SK perpajakannya. Setelah itu film akan masuk. Soalnya, filmnya sudah banyak ada di sini," pungkasnya.
